Design Brief & Discovery

Concept Development

For molded pulp, conceptual thinking includes wall draft angles, undercut feasibility, and parting line placement — because a beautiful sketch that can't be molded is just a sketch.

3D Modeling & Visualization

Once a concept direction is selected, we build the technical 3D model. This is where design intent meets manufacturing logic. Prototype & Sample Stage

You hold the actual packaging in your hands: feel the texture, test the fit, assess the unboxing experience. This is where subtle adjustments happen — a 0.5mm tolerance here, a slightly deeper emboss there.
Note: Sample mold costs are separate from production mold tooling. We help you evaluate whether a 3D-printed rapid sample suffices or if a CNC sample mold is worth the investment.
Refinement & Design Lock

Based on prototype feedback, we iterate. Adjustments are documented in a revision log to maintain a clear audit trail. Common refinements include: tweaking snap-fit tolerances, adjusting emboss depth for better definition, optimizing parting lines for cleaner edges, and fine-tuning surface texture for tactile quality. Once you sign off, the design is locked — no more changes without a formal change order.

Production Handoff

The final step: preparing files that a mold maker and production team can work with directly. We export STEP and IGES files with layer organization, provide a material specification sheet (pulp blend, density targets, color reference), and compile a production brief that communicates design intent to the factory floor. We also offer mold engineering review support — reviewing the factory's mold design against our product design to catch issues before steel is cut.
